Selina trained as a registered nurse at St George’s Hospital, Tooting and has had a career specialising in acute and medical nursing in both teaching and District General Hospital environments across London. She has worked across a number of senior nursing leadership posts in London and prior to her current role worked with NHS Improvement focussed on quality measures across all types of provider trusts, community, mental health and acute.
Selina joined Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust in 2016 as Deputy Director of Nursing and has spent the last year acting as the Interim lead as Director of Nursing and Infection Prevention and Control. In addition to providing professional leadership for all aspects of Nursing and midwifery other elements include ensuring multiprofessional engagement, supporting effective infection prevention and control across all areas of practice and acting as as the professional lead for AHPs.
Selina’s key focus is to work in partnership to support the nursing and midwifery teams to provide safe, effective, high quality care retaining the patient as the focus of all that we do.
